Skin Shopping Part 2

Well the other day I did part 1 covering Tuli, Pixel Deep, Panjen, Gala, and EMA skins. Now it's time for the other batch of skins I bought covering Skin Within's skins. Why just Skin Within this time? Because I ended up with several different flavors of their skins... The seem to specialize in ethnic skins, which frankly I love... Feel like being an egyptian princess today? They have the skin... Or maybe a African Goddess for some RP? They have that to. I bought 3 skins: Saba (Egyptian if I remember correctly), Ashaki (African/Nubian), & Ashawi (Native American). Though I bought a pack of makeups for the Ashawi skin.

First up is the Saba skin in Rhapsody Glitter coloring. The coloring is very nicely done here with a skin tone I like, not to dark and yet not to light... It's also not 'tan' which seems to mean 'orange' to allot of skin designers and I generally hate 'tan' skins. The makeup here is fairly simple with just a a red eyeshadow, some minor blush for the cheeks, and some simple red lipstick. The level of detail in the body of the skin is excellent as well, without the issues I have with the Ashawi skin range.

Next up is Ashaki in Bordeaux Smokey coloring. This skin is gorgeous easily the best 'black' skin I've ever seen in SL. While I'm not 'black' myself, I dated a black woman that was pre-med during college for awhile and I can say quite well that this is the best coloring for a modern woman of African descent I've yet come across. The level of detail is amazing with the color even varying over the body as it does in RL. The only reason I don't own more options of this skin is the fact that I wear red or burnt red hair and most of the color options in makeup didn't match my preferred hair colors. The makeup I did chose is mostly eyeshadow ranging from red to gold with a slight 'cat eye' effect added and red lipstick.

I bought three of the Ashawi skins mostly for the specific eye makeups and seeing as it's the same price for the set as for three, I bought the set. I'll show only the three I prefer though. First though let me say I like the coloring on them all and the detail is just lovely for the most part... Except... They seem ta think ya are so skinny your ribs poke out under your breasts... So rather than looking fit, you look starved... ;_; Who wants to look starved...? I don't, but I liked the skins enough to buy them anyways... That and I'm hoping the designer may correct this and issue a second version to those who have bought it which is not so starved looking... Now on to makeup specific things...

The first of the makeups is Drama. Drama has blue to purple eyeshadow with deep purple lipstick. It goes fairly well with my violet eyes, though I think it minimizes their impact...

Next we have Elysian style makeup. Elysian has a gold and red type of eye-makeup in a a type of flame trail pattern that I just love. Added to that is some nice red lipstick. This is the version I would probably wear.

The last makeup is Cirque, which is another pruple-ish makeup. It has fun purple and red eyeshadow with a silvery violet lipstick color. It's not what I'd usually wear, but it's so odd to see makeup that highlights my eyes, I have to pick up those ones I see...

And that is it for my skins I bought, there were some other interesting demos I set aside and I may get around to adding those to a post as well... We shall see, as this Saturday marks the beginning of a week and a half long vacation... ^_^

Skin shopping Part 1

Yes yes, I'm evil as I've never gotten around to posting any of the stuff I've planned... RL and SL both taking up way to much time... But, I am posting a new review now. This will be a multi-part review of my favorite skins I actually bought at the Skin Fair Expo going on right now in SL.

The first skin is Tuli's Exotic skin in Natural Freckles coloring. It's not full body freckles like my previous skin of choice, but it keeps a nice freckly look to the face. It has high quality details and minimal make-up. In particular I like the collar bone and neck details, that make the neck look less like some cylinder on her shoulders and more like a real neck. And frankly who doesn't like a real looking neck? It's also got nice highlighting of the ever important cleavage and the same thing continues down farther with nice ab details and a good looking ass. All this combined made it my choice to replace my former skin, though I plan to use others at times... I also picked up another version with make-up, but sans freckles. Shadey though looks cute in freckles, so they stay.

Next up is Pixel Deep's Medium skin in Fit Redhead coloring. This is part of the entire 'Medium Fit' pack, which is a good buy with all the variations in here. It's also modifiable to a degree allowing slightly darker or slightly lighter skin tones. The hair color is selectable by skin, so your eyebrows and pubes can even match your hair color. Their are even different skins for different amounts of pubic hair... The detailing is much like the Tuli skin here, though I think the abs are even a step better defined. It's also make-up light, though if I remember right the lips are tintable in a variety of shades.

Now we move on to Panjen's Eternal skin in Wine coloring. Eternal is a full freckle skin with freckles all over, which can be fun... If only I had a cute kitten to play 'count the freckles' with... But getting back to the skin, it's light on make-up though it does have some nice eyeshadow and highlighting, with a very pale lip color and a small amount of blush on the cheeks. It has good detail for most of the body, but the abs aren't as nice as on the previous to skins. It's sadly a bit in shadow in the pic, so it almost looks darker than the skins above though it's actually a shade lighter. The overall effect is very cute.

Now we move to Gala's Luster skin in Monarch coloring. It's a darker skin than the last one, but I don't see this as a bad thing. It is all about the eye make up here, it's vivid yellows and orangish-reds in a sunburst style pattern. When I saw it, I knew I needed a skin with it... Otherwise it is very light on make-up, with not even lipstick. It's level of detail is nice as well and almost on par with the most detailed skins in this post, though it's a much 'softer' skin than most of those. Not so many options with this one either, but still lovely all on it's own.

The final skin in this post is EMA's Autumn skin in Shay coloring... Or vice versa, it's hard to tell without looking at their skin charts. It's actually one step darker than Gala's Luster skin, though the particular tone and coloring makes it look very Latino. Which is not a bad thing at all.
This is another eye makeup skin for me, it was all in the colorful pattern there rather than anything else that sold me on it. In this case the eye makeup was a colorful red and orange with leopard-like spots. As a neko how could I pass up eye makeup with spots? I couldn't of course. The details on this skin are very good and rival most of my other favorite skins in this list. It's also one of the most youthful looking skins I think in my collection.

EMA and Panjen are some of the smallest designers from the show and I'd like to make sure they don't get overlooked as they have very nice skins. That's it for this part of my review, I'll do more tomorrow if I have time.

I have a few out of a bunch of pictures for outfits done.... And I got sick with a sinus/ear infection last week... Fun fun... So I've been like... totally lazy... Even missed two days of work once they finally let me take a day off...

I was going to do some more Midian entries as well... But I've been to lazy for that as well... Maybe it's just the upcoming Valentines...? I dunno...

But here is a story for you... I came across a nice newb guy in SL the other day, well as nice as they get when they hit on your for pixel sex, but he was at least a bit of a flirt... Some potential at least, so I figure I should give a helping hand and maybe one day he'll be a constructive citizen... So being a fashionista I ask him if he'd like a hand getting dressed up to look like a good slcitizen.

Here is were I have to tell you he was a bare chested AV with system hair that looked like a mop on his head. A shape kinda like a short gorilla (he was about my height or SL 5 foot 11 inches) with a blocky face that reminded me of the old Max Hendron. Though he did have a not completely hopeless skin if you don't mind the hairy chest look and he was wearing bad freebie pants and system shoes.

I could have made something out of him with a few minutes of slider work, a trip to the stores that give away hair to newbs under 30 days, and free dove/freebie jeebies/B@R's 10L shop. But he has somehow been convinced he looks 'good enough' and apparently can 'get any woman he wants', as well some 'long term resident' who was a woman told him he looked great. Err... no you look like a 2003 reject... o_0 Please let me help... 0_o

But he got annoyed I think... And wandered off... Sadly later as I wandered a um... seeder collection of vendors for some risque clothes I got to see he couldn't emote to save his ass... So I maybe I should just let him be mediocre... One day he'll realize the only women he gets can't hold a conversation and may only be bots, but that's not my issue...

I know I've been off on doing updates, but I do have some things in the works...

In the vein of the 25 group limit in SL getting blog feedback I'd love to draw attention to this Jira entry. It covers an issue that effects me and anyone else who chooses to use a ATI/AMD video card rather than one from Nvidia. We get almost nothing out of Windlight except better light sourcing, but no pretty water or skies for us... So help out half the video card market and push this issue with the Linden's. My brand new $300 video card doesn't gain me anything in SL and keeps me from making even prettier pictures!

This last week started with me trying to comfort those I know hit by Disco's death. Namely Markko and Edna. I finally saw Edna's husband Cadyn to, I know Cadyn from when he was dating my friend Rena who I keep trying to find though she's never around when I visit her haunts. They were busy with something I didn't really understand though, so I let them be after trying to cheer them up some. I did find out however that Disco's funeral would be the next day.

The rest of the day was hanging out with new kittens. Specifically the new kitten, Brekka. I came across her when heading up to the den after my morning walk. She was talking with Thulana (I think, sorry If I'm wrong! my faulty memory) another new kitty. Soon we were joined by Fra, yet another new kitty since I'd left. And to make this an even bigger group that was when Dui arrived. We'd been trying to help her out while keeping her out of the den as the den is for walkers, all others are to be kept out without invitation from Rith or Chai. I'd even given Brekka a santa hat to keep her ears warm. Dui decided to invite us all to her sushi place. Everyone accepted, besides me. I wanted to find a few things before I forgot.

Once I was done I joined everyone at Dui's very busy sushi bar. We even had Beatriz and Reiyn drop in. Both are walkers, Beatriz the older and Reiyn the newer. In fact I'd never meet Reiyn before coming back. Dui invited Brekka to join the walkers as a kitten like me. She accepted. Things broke up a bit soon after. Dui cooked me some Okonomiyaki and Korokke, yum! We took the kitten back to the den to give her the kittens tour, well more Dui did and I tagged along. In the end she decided to go to sleep so I gave her a blanket to keep her warm. Soon after I headed to my own bed for the night.

The next day was interesting... To say the least. My day would end with Disco's funeral, but the chaos started when Mari was caught on the den roof again by Reiyn who made a big fuss over it. Most of us don't want to get involved in it, but he stuck to Rith's rule hard and fast. Then Rith herself arrived and the gathering of kitties was about to watch a furball as Rith took action on Mari... Until Sarika got shot.

It was a sniper on a roof up above. Most of the kitties besides myself and Rith took cover. Fra went to Sarika's side to try to stop the bleeding as did Dui, though not the bleeding part. Dui and Sarika are lovers, so it was hard on Dui. Sadly My first day in the walkers I had to patch Dui up in similar circumstances...

Anyways... Beatriz, Mari, and Reiyn went into action hunting the sniper with Rith going up alogn the other side of buildings to hunt him. I decided to stay and see if I could help Sarika, but Fra had it under control so I decided to guard the door instead. The sniper suicided, but he was a strange one....

Rith did have it out with Mari after that. I decided to head to Disco's funeral during it however... I stayed silent through most of it, but I just felt to guilty about her death to say anything. I also stood next to this tree which a 'thing' was up in... It smelled of burnt flesh and dripped, or rather oozed, blood and other fluids which caused me to spend alot of my none sulking time trying not to gag. It caused some fuss at the end of the funeral, but I was to tired and depressed to stay and watch.

Midian Files: The Return

Yes, two installments in one week! This is more actual goings on in Midian rather than back story.

Getting back to Midian was hard, but nothing like the challenge of actually reconnecting once I was back.

It didn't help to learn the bits of news I heard on my return... My favorite kitten Myca was dead, as was Sadira and Myca's mate Landen. Some form of triple homicide/suicide. It makes me a sad kitty as I miss them. The catwalkers seem torn over the whole thing to, most don't even show up to the den anymore, it feels like a ghost town.

Mari was also kicked out of the walkers for events I am not aware of, maybe it was the final straw after her shooting of an ex-kitten...? Oddly she hangs around the den which is what she killed the other kitten for after he left. I haven't really forgiven her for that yet, so maybe I'm just projecting though. Rith's ways are often mysterious, but then so are those of most leaders.

I've also learned my favorite bar the Twilight Zone was shot up and now sits almost always empty. Reconstruction apparently not high on the list of priorities. It seems my old friend Cat was the one that shot the place up in a fight with some then TZ security woman.

On that note I also discovered that my old friend Cat was now head of the Mercs with my friend Craven as her second. Though Cat is out of town right now. I hope she's not in as much danger as I was... Things had become estranged between me and her before I left, but she's still a friend. Craven on the other hand... Seems he managed to find himself a mate! She's a pretty thing named Honey. Which is odd to me as I remember a certain kitten with that name, they are nothing alike though.

I even found Edna my favorite bartender, back in the days of Disco and Rej, now she runs a tattoo parlor. I also hear she got married! Everyone seems to be hooking up. Why can't I even get a date in Midian outside of Marie before she went crazy and got killed...? Anyways we had a nice long talk, it was nice that warm homey feeling...

However this is Midian something bad must always happen... In this case it's that Disco was later found dead after having committed suicide. After fighting so hard to live, I can't understand someone giving up. Sadly I had seen her walk by Edna's shop before it happened and I thought to go say 'hi', but I decided to wait til later... Only there is no later now. It leaves you to wonder 'What if?', maybe I could have stopped her from going through with it... Then again maybe not. And we will never know.

My friend Markko is the one that found her and it seems they had become very close friends before this. I'll try to cheer him up a bit... He's had his own troubles lately.... I hear he was kicked out of his faction for um... 'indiscretion' in certain 'activities'.

It's been one week now since I've been back and I've missed so much. But I should be asleep, I'll write more later.

1. Are you and early shopper or a late shopper?
I shop all the time... So I get bits here and there whenever I found something that fits a person... Except in Sl where I already made my hand crafted gifties for people and started passing them out... ^_-

2. What is your favorite cartoon (current or past)?
I can't count anime as cartoons (because it feels kind of insulting to compare them to US cartoons), so instead I'll pick a Hybred: Robotech. Yes I admit I'm a fan of giant robot/fighter planes battling aliens... It's also the only 'cartoon' I can remember where a major character dies on screen by bleeding to death after arriving at his girlfriends apartment to see her one last time.... *wipes tear* I still love that scene...

3. On a scale of 1-10, how competent are you on home repair projects?

I'm a 5. I can use a hammer, screw drivers, and even basic power tools like saws and such... I can also read directions... Just don't expect me to make to many straight lines... ^_-

4. What is your favorite holiday tradition?

It may sound bad, but I don't really have any... My parents were always big on putting up a tree and the whole decorating thing, but I never enjoyed it and that was there tradition... When I was little though I did have a tradition of waking up at 4 am in the morning to find the presents on Christmas day.... The next four hours would then be attempts to wake them up as I was not allowed to open presents without them...

5. Describe your favorite kiss? Do you give it or receive it?

I have to agree with Hawksrocks on this one (as seen here). Passionate, lustful, and loving kisses all the way!

Fashion Post: Sand Dollar

Well I know it's been like forever and a day since the last time I actually blogged about fashion... And god knows I'm not always looking for cute... But I found this adorable pair of undies from Sand Dollar by reading my friend London's blog. So it was time to drive everyone nuts by posting three new posts in a day and adding fashion to the plate... If you haven't read my other posts today read from the bottom of the page to the top!

Sand Dollar Fruits Basket Lingerie Set:

I bought this in cherry and you probably can't see much of the pattern in this picture, but it's literally covered in cherry patterns in places. Each one having been apparently hand drawn. I love cherries (among other favorite red fruits) and so they look delicious to me...

Better than that they are covered in little prim ribbons! Those would be the bits of red on the front of the panties in the picture, but there are more ribbons in other places you can't see in this pic.

It also includes the stockings I'm wearing besides the bra and panties making it complete. As you can see from the picture I had to grab my Christmas Holiday Rufus from Deviant Kitties and snuggle into my new bed after putting it on!

Now before I decide I must curl up in my bed and not do anything else today, I'll end this post suggesting that if you want to buy some adorable lingerie you should go find the Sand Dollar shop at Pandora's Place!

Midian FIles: The Missing Tail

What follows is a dark post on what happened to Shadey while I was away from both Midian and from SL due to work. I can add pics if demanded, but I'm betting most while be thankful near the end I didn't.

It was a dark day when I decided to set out on this crazy plan... I'd been hunting for some trace of my sibs and failing and having run out of other options I decided on a radical course of action: Let the hunters catch me. It made sense, if these self same hunters had hunted them or worked with those that did I could have hopes of finding them. That was the dream and that was the plan... The results however were different...

They knocked me out, tied me up, beat me whenever I complained and sometimes just for waking up. That however would prove the least of my hardships...

I was loaded onto a plane and sent somewhere I didn't recognize. The destination though I later learned was a secret military base and research facility deep in the wilds of Africa or at least what was once called Africa. Here was to be my home for my captivity. A stay that was expected by them to be short and by me to be short, but for very different reasons.

The shining light of the whole thing was being reunited with all my sibs in one place. Well those that hadn't died yet from what the scientists were doing to us. But it was a bitter moment as some were no longer even lucid enough to recognize me...

These scientists were much like those that decided to re-engineer us to be better warriors, but while those had purpose these only held madness. They sought the limits of flesh and genes. Not with a specific goal, but just to watch how far a person could be twisted and yet live. Each was made into ghastly horrors best left unnamed, succumbing to the madness of being altered while alive and conscious... Then they tested... 'This one is now resistant to disease, let us invoke as many plagues into it as we can to see how durable it is.' And then the rest of us would be forced to watch as they sprayed, injected, inseminated, and otherwise victimized our much abused sib until their was nothing left to keep her body working as they had found the limit. What grizzly cold blooded things humans can be!

After being forced to watch my sibs put through this routine far more times than I want to remember... It was my turn. Oh the pain! I can't begin to describe it... Your blood boils, your muscles spasm, your skin burns, your flesh crawls, and your bones ache. All my pain tolerance and martial arts meditative skills amounted to nothing in the face of it. In the end all that saved me was my will to live, to live and overcome!

I don't know when I came to, but the scientists seemed so pleased by the results... Oh all of my sibs only I stayed in the same physical form after their experiments. My body had not broken or bent, but been tempered... It however was not the same is it had been. I noticed this quickly as the fire inside that had thirsted for blood and needed to be chained was missing... Their was still a fire, but it filled me and warmed me rather than driving me to rage and violence. I had yet to learn what this meant however. Neither did they.

When the scientists came for me again I tried to escape, not wanting to be tested and was cut by one of the soldiers kept on hand to 'tame' us. But unlike normal I didn't bleed. A few flicks of blood came loose, but the wound sealed itself as it was made and nothing further came of it. The scientist were ecstatic wanting to see how I did it. They got their wish as the guards subdued me with difficulty.

Each time I was wounded I didn't bleed out like any other creature and the wounds would heal quickly. I learned new levels of pain as they started small and scaled up their tests trying new ways and inflicting more damage to me. Cuts healed in seconds, burns healed almost as quick, acid was nullified and then the wounds would repair themselves. They moved on. Fingers were hacked off and regrew in minutes. The missing digit would decompose while they watched. Toes were burnt off and were rebuilt.

Their time of reckoning however was at hand. They had decided to shop off an arm and see what would happen. They however had to have me shackled and chained to keep from tearing them apart and to keep me on their blood covered table. They hacked off my arm, but they spent to much time watching my previous limb decompose as the new one grew... A new arm unshackled and unchained.... The first one died quick, as did the second, the third lived awhile as he tried to run... Breaking free of my bounds was nothing, after all my body regrew itself and the pain it took to free myself was as nothing compared to being remade. Within an hour I was free.

I checked on my sibs to find they had all perished while I was there plaything. May whatever lives on after have piece denied us in life. I had a mission though. My emotions would not be quenched and my mind could not be at ease while this place existed. things would be paid for and it would be in blood.

By the time it was done I had learned the limits to my new regeneration. I was shot... and shot alot.... swiss cheese would have had less holes. I was shot in the head a few times, but that didn't kill me... I blacked out for an hour or two though... I was burnt. I was cooked with a variety of energy weapons. I was even hit with a anti-material rifle like I favor in combat. Normally that would kill anything alive, but it only knocked me out again.

But they died and I lived. To finish the deed I rounded up all the explosives in the base. It was a pretty fire as the plum of scorched bits blasted into the sky. Ashes to ashes and all that.

I turned now though to the future. I had lost my family, but I had one thing left to me. I had people who cared about me and I should have relied in more. Should have told of my crazy plan in the first place. I had friends who may not be able to replace what I'd lost, but would help me forge on. I had friends... In Midian.

New House in SL

Well I got talked into renting a condo apartment in SL, which I wasn't really unwilling to buy in the first place... If you remember way back when I had a house in the clouds on some group land some time back, but have otherwise been a homeless kitten... Now I have a house again... It's not much to look at from the outside, but it looks very nice inside after 2 days of decorating intensive care!

The best part however is the view...
Now that is something I'd love to see every day in RL!

New Look

As you may be able to guess... I love changing my look, at least in SL, and I always see it as a work in progress... Well I decided I needed an update, so I went shopping... And what you see below is the result:

Some things that will never change in SL (Or at least I doubt they will): I will always be a red haired neko... I do occasionally get the urge to go purple and match a certain friend of mine in SL who is fairly famous, but I'm more a red person...

So... I tweaked my shape.... In fact it's hard to tell, but Shadey now has some fat... I updated my curves as it were, though as another things I don't plan to change I didn't touch my bust... I tweaked my legs so I'm a tad shorter (I used to tower over half of all my neko friends, no idea now). I also changed my nose... My nose always looked to big for my face up close in SL...

I went and bought a Tete a Pied skin (feline in buff type 3 makeup)... And I bought some snazzy business casual clothes from DE Designs... They are about the only thing I own that don't look odd to wear in the middle of winter... It really shows off my lavender kitty eyes.

Which is important when Midian is a winter wonderland... buried in ice and snow... Only thing it's missing is an iceberg in the harbor...

Well sleepy time now... More later...

8 Things...

Well I'm guessing most of you know abotu the whole 8 things meme floating around the SL blogsphere... Well Timothy pseudo-tagged me, so I guess I should give my 8 things... Though since I can't think of anyone who hasn't been tagged yet I won't pass it on unless I find some victims... ;)

1. One of my hobbies is Photography... Though I've always been a digital person, so my camera of choice right now is my Fujifilm S5700 in RL. Which is probably related to why I like pics in SL...

2. I run an Anime/Manga/J-Pop club in RL and that's where I am for about 4 hours every Saturday unless I feel to sick or lazy to go...

3. I'm allergic to certain foods... Including Onions, Peppers, and Mushrooms... Now you try finding foods without those from say... Everyone likes to hide their inclusion because people don't think someone may not be able to eat them... (On that note my family is full of strange food allergies, my mom can't eat grains and my dad can't eat nuts).

4. I'm an only child. Which for where I live is odd. It however didn't mean I was spoiled... In fact it usually meant my parents went out of their way to make me fight for whatever I got out of them. Mostly because we were not quite middle class, in fact their attempts to act like they were a middle class family ended with them file for bankruptcy during my first time through college...

5. I've been in college twice... & Owe $60,000 USD for the 'honor' of doing that...

6. I teach an 'enrichment' class at the school I work for called 'Computer Imaging' and I have to try manage up to 16 kids from 4th to 8th grades... Who would rather spend most of their time playing flash games where they dissect people or find creative suicide methods in office buildings... 0_o

7. I am not a red head in RL... Nor have I ever bothered to color my hair... In fact in RL I started with hair so blonde it was nearly white, but now it's just a kind of brown with natural blonde highlights... Cleaning up the dust and cobwebs

Hey everyone!

I've actually stopped into SL a few times lately for the first time in awhile, but I haven't posted on here... Things feel so different when I've gone back to my usual haunts. It makes me kinda sad...

I have missed my SL friends though... Often quite alot during the ups and downs of RL. In the time since I got back together with the woman I love only to have her dump me in just over a week of being back together for a stupid guy... >_> Now they have broken up... I still haven't meet anyone else... I guess the world just doesn't appreciate introverts...

Work is still driving me nuts, but at the moment I have an intern so it somewhat lightens my load... At least until the end of the day, then I'm still the one getting called at home at all sorts of crazy hours... Oh and to make things more fun this week has started the annual snowfall here along the great lakes... Making my drive to and from work take longer.... Yeah... <_<

Back to SL... Of course the first thing I did was buy more clothes.... Lots of clothes... Like everything new from Dark Eden to start.. ^_^

I also built a new PC (Yeah for my geek girlness!)... Which laughs at SL and asks "Can't you make me work harder...?" as I've cranked up all the settings as high as they go and SL never freezes or slows like it used to... I do however still have to wait on SL's slow transfer rate and watch as the scenery and people pop into existence, but their is no helping that... My pictures should look better from now on to...

Well that's all for now I'll try to come up with some new posts over the christmas break at work if not before!

Work interfering with life

Well for the last couple weeks work has ben interfering with me having a life, yet alone a second life... I spend all sorts of time at work and then I'm so tired when I get home at night I just want to eat dinner and go to bed...

So for the time being the blog is on hold (as you probably ahve already noticed). So is my existance in SL... I hope things work out at work and I can lighten my load soon... Cross your fingers for me!

Midian Files Episode 3

Well this week hasn't been as interesting as last. Ok, maybe that's not quite correct. I did have one good night in the TZ... Which has become my usual haunt were I drink later as I still don't know what these drinks are...

Edit: And this is where it ended, I never finished this post, but since I started on Midian Files #4 I decided to at least post this much... Things are rather fuzzy for me as to what happened which week/month/etc that far back now (5 or 6 months ago), so I can't finish it now... Sorry!

Midian Files Episode 2

Week 2 has been a tad more interesting I found a place called the "Twilight Zone" look the old TV series, or 'TZ' for short. I've never been around alcohol as it was forbidden to us, but They don't seem to mind I just drink bottles of water. I did however meet this cute neko there, kind of raccoon looking facial markings which make her very unique looking. Seems she works as a dancer there, and sometimes bar tender, and her name is Rejeanne. It's to bad she seems to be involved with this cute human woman that handles security...

I also meet two other women: Catrin and Rin. Catrin is a very sexy human woman who seems awfully nice. Rin seems a bit quiet and her clothes are a bit weird, but she's cute and nice to. They introduced me to a friend of theirs this guy named Markko, who has a weird past were he was raised by nekos. I uh... I... Well I kind of got a bit kinky as they ended up going down in the subway station and started making out in a non-functional subway car... It _had_ been six months since this cute little kitten had done much of anything, so I joined in...

I also wandered the rooftops this week hoping to spot some of these nekos from the city, the 'catwalkers'. In the end I did find some as I ended up on the roof of one of the buildings in town and I sat high up on this ledge as I surveyed the city.... Until I was assaulted with rocks from below and lost my grip avoiding them... To land almost on top of this cute purple/pink haired neko girl.... Who was talking with this older male neko. They told me I was in their 'den' and that I had to leave. I tried apologizing, but they were rather annoyed, so I hopped down to the side and listened. Seemed the girl had been attacked recently, so she was not in such a good mood...

I ended up coming back to sit on the top of this warehouse across from the church. I had tried scaling the church to use as a hide out, but a very strange girl who looked like she hadn't bathed in weeks confronted me and told me I couldn't be there either... She didn't make much sense really, but I did understand that much. Anyways on top of the warehouse roof the cute neko girl from the 'den' dropped in and told me I couldn't be up there either... :(

She did however offer to show me a good place to stay... So I followed her and she lead me down by the beach. I also got her name which was Myca.

Midian Files Episode 1

Well here is the first installment of my Midian Diary of sorts... It will be told from the point of view of the character I play in Midian.

In Midian 'Shadow' or 'Shadey' is what everyone knows me as and there she's a neko who has a sort of tragic past involving the loss of her family who were part of a military project. She's been a soldier all her life (literally raised into it). And when the project was canceled the military tried to erase them all. She has no idea what happened to them, but she decided to head to Midian in hopes they would arrive there as well as a haven for those with things to hide...

Week 1:

Well I managed to get a ride into Midian and they dropped me off at the taxi hub. It wasn't easy getting here, especially and still have some cash on hand.... Good thing I have that spec ops bank account to draw on, I should be able to pull out money in small pieces from it for quite some time.

Midian is a strange place.... Enough spooky emo kids/adults with pale skin to start a town of there own... Plenty of humans walking around with guns... Which reminds em I need to replace my weapons... I hadn't having to leave them behind. Some incredibly freaky people and frankly I have no clue where to start my search for my sibs... It's been six months now, I wonder if they are even still alive...?

I found an interesting collection of people by this canal after I finished wondering over town and found a spot to secure my gear way up on a roof to one of the taller buildings. This group had not one, but four nekos in it and a human... The human was the most normal looking I'd seen in my time spent in Midian so far. While I may want to meet up with the nekos to see if they know anything about my missing family... Four at once is a bit much.... Luckily the nekos all left eventually and I went to talk to the normal looking man. He mentioned to me that their was two factions of nekos in the city: the Catwalkers and the Pack. He then suggested I set out wandering the wastelands til I found them... The wastelands is mostly dead remains of buildings... I should know since that's where I did go afterwards. Never found anything or any of these members of the 'Pack', but that's ok he still gave me useful info... Oh his name was... Jack... I think...?

Yes, I've been neglecting this spot... And I really shouldn't... I do have yet more tats and bikinis ready... for whenever I get around to taking some new pictures to use... ^_^ Those will be my next fashion posts... I also have some stuff from Glass Earth's various members and a trip to Dark Eden and SiniStyle added some more items... If it didn't take like 4 hours for one of my fashion reports I'd do more... ^_^

All that said London asked me to share my online history when I mentioned it on her blog the other day that I've been online for ages (in internet time). See I was a lonely girl who had just moved from a tiny little town (200-300 people) to a somewhat larger town (3000-5000 people). I was shy and didn't make friends easily and really I was super innocent compared to the troubled lives of some of my class mates. Somethings I've come to realize since I started working at a charter school in the 'inner city' of a large city (300k+ people) is that small towns in the middle of nowhere have the same issues as inner city areas. Poverty, unemployment, lack of motivation in learning, lack of access to facilities to help you learn, and I could go on but it's not the focus of this post...

Anyways the school had a Apple IIC lab that as a fifth grader I visited once a week... And I loved them... They didn't tease me, or make fun of me, and were always happy to do whatever I could tell them to do... Oh sure they had their limits, but I could enjoy myself in ways vaguely like interacting with people without the downsides I felt around them... This discovery went on to firmly plant me into a 'geek' role for the rest of my life, but my love of various scientific topics would probably have done that anyways...

Middle School however lacked a computer lab and in another twist of fate my parents one summer asked me a question: "We want to buy something for all of us to use, so here are the options which would you prefer: a pool or a computer?" A computer, duh! I may have loved to swim, but swimming by yourself isn't much fun... and I was content with PC's as fun... This also set up my love of PC games...

The internet though as we know it didn't exist yet. There were a few different types of services though... AOL was still in it's infancy and not the ASL paradise it is now, Compuserve was around... Though neither was a an 'ISP' as those didn't exist yet, other nitch providers like Genie existed. It was also the era of BBS's, but their were no local BBS's for me and I managed to get in some serious trouble after discovering them with a huge $500 phone bill for my parents... Luckily the phone company decided it was an error... I also remember also figuring out ways around AOL's adult materials filter... I was a horny little 14 year old cause I most assuredly was not even kissing anyone yet and had not a clue about sexuality... But I knew I liked the idea of seeing people naked... Maybe I could even find one of people having sex! (shock!). Well I didn't find any sex pictures (so some of those questions wouldn't be answered for years), but I did find a picture of this beautiful naked asian woman... Which I think is what started my fetish for asian women... ^_^ I also got addicted to erotic stories in that time.. giving me all sorts of creative ideas if I'd had anyone to share them with! ^_-

By the second half of high school though the internet had been born! It's birth had been painful though as dial-up internet sucks (I can't believe people can stand to use it still, I so feel sorry for you Chloe!). But we had the beginning of the internet filled with as much junk as today... Just with less porn... We could even still use bitmap images on the web in html 1.0, as jpeg hadn't been fleshed out yet and gif was the only compressed image format available as an alternative to it.

After high school and on to college I finally got my first real ISP and I discovered chat rooms via IRC... I also discovered what I'd found gaming back on genie... Women and girls were a minority... suggesting you were a woman made the men scurry for cover or hit on you... The attention sometimes was way to bad... 20 or 30 guys to each woman... Ugh... So I hid... I played at being a guy online... I think alot of women did when they found out the same thing I had... I then found BBS's and more importantly MUD's, MUX's, MUCKS and all the other MU*'s, virtual worlds where you could create objects, interact with other people, make things... But it was all in text... I'd had an exposure to virtual sex with IRC and after wading into various MU*'s I discovered adult ones... Ones for people to live out virtual fantasies... The first I visited made me understand BDSM and most of it's concepts and flavors... As it was a master/slave world... you had to pick a role between the two and they required you to be 'trained' before being 'sold' to an owner... I moved on to another MU* that was more a general free for all of sexual ideas soon after....

I then spent the next 5 years playing off and on in those worlds between other things... In the end though I got tired of the drama and feeling like an outsider as I didn't 'live the life' in the Real World... I did however meet the first person I ever kissed or had sex with RL online during this time... Though that was one day... And she was a crazy nymphomaniac... I won't delve into that unless someone asks, but all she wanted was a one time thing and that ended up hurting me... As it was my first time...

I however took a vacation from virtual sex... I didn't enjoy it nearly as much one a forum or some such and even IM was hard... I did however have a best friend who I only knew online from the MU*'s that I'd still play with occasionally until I lost her contact info... It's been nearly 4 years now since I last talked to her... I've been in and out of virtual worlds before this point... All sorts of beta testing of online games... But those really were just games... I even saw the beginning of Second Life... But I tried it for a day back in it's early days and the need to create everything you wanted held me back from joining in... I didn't want to have to create clothes so I'm not ugly, or build all the objects in the world I wanted to interact with... Not then at least... Not until a few months ago when I was between things to do online and saw another mention of Second Life... And decided to give it another look in the five years it's been since the first look I'd given it... Second Life has that adult presence that bored me with MMO's... Well that and being stuck in 'set' articles of clothing as you leveled... I always felt I looked like everyone else and hated it... Not so in SL as I pour way to much money into looking different all the time...! ^_-

Love & Sex (In & Out) of SL

I've been meaning to write a post for days... In fact I have one half done that has been sitting in my drafts folder for at least a week now. I've just been trying not to think about certain things, so I've been obsessing over things I can do that don't have to involve thinking about what I'm trying to avoid thinking of. But I'm throwing that out the window to make a post, because I have been thinking about it.

Well Since London, Katrina, & Sophosyne spend so much time talking about it and it's been on my mind lately for RL reasons... I decided to post my own take on Love & Sex (in and out of SL).

I'm different from those three in that I have trouble loving people... People fall into three categories with me: general public, friends, loves.

General Public are the teeming masses (some of which probably read this blog! ^_^ ) which are anyone I don't really know or only know a bit. I'm not likely to IM you in world and under the big blue sky I will probably only deal with you if you live nearby or work somewhere that I visit regularly... And unfortunately I will probably forever forget your name... I'm horrible with names...

Friends are people I care about. Alot of which I may not even see anymore for one reason or another, but they are still important to me. Unfortunately the ones I haven't seen in years I remember, but can't remember their names all the time ;.; I told you I have a bad memory for names... Those I do see regularly don't have to worry... If I remember your name, then your a friend... I'll play (sexually at times) with friends and try to be there for them, but I would say I'm not really in love with them... There are limits to how close I'll get or even want to get... This can at times annoy those who are polyamorous around me... But it's just the way I am... Plenty of people in SL fall into this category and if I play with you sexually in SL and your not paying me for it... Your probably in this list... ;)

Loves.... Well their have only ever been two loves in my nigh thirty RL years... Both I hold dear to me and both have frustrated me to know end.... The first I couldn't take being around anymore, because she did not feel the same way about me and seeing her with others made me happy and tore me up all at the same time... So I had to walk away... I miss her alot though and I wish she'd kept in touch even if just by email... The other love of my life is the one currently driving me crazy... I waited almost six years for a chance to be with her....

Those I have loved are true loves... absolute loves... I'd die for them without thinking about it. I have and probably will give them every cent I have if they need it, no matter if I do to. And the love is unconditional. But I'm selfish... Those I love I want to love me, and only me... At least in the romantic & lustful way.

When I think about it, I see that I try to feel loved by being with my friends... But it's always a sort of filler for my desire to be loved by those few people I have loved... I'm not sure if that's good or bad... If that means I use others who I don't really love by possibly leading them on and suggesting they mean more to me then they do... But it is what it is and I don't think I could just stop doing that. Much like most people I don't want to be lonely... And I don't want to start humping trees because my sex drive is all crazy at times... I'd really hate to see what happens if I can't at least get a little online every week or so...

Which leads me into this: For me sex is something I do to feel loved... Usually at least as I have acted as an escort in SL (though few people are hiring me, visit Virgins & Vixens and give me some work!), which is very much not usually about feeling loved... It's more desiring pretty things and compensation for my time... But even then... I think I'd turn down some people, in fact I basically have before... I don't want 'sexual partners' that just sit there and go 'oohhh...', If ya can't turn me on then I'm not gonna get you off... My friends I don't worry so much about... Most are capable of at least keeping up... In fact my friends that get a chance to be with me sexually are the ones who I feel can keep up in a sexual experience... The same is true in RL as in SL... I don't take a friend as a brief sexual experience if I think they are boring... Of course if you have me as an RL friend, then I thought you were worth being around anyways... I however don't tend to sleep with my friends RL to often, in fact the only times I have is when I've 'dated' friends... Which is usually for no more than a month... Then I get bored and usually the other person gets hurt... I don't mean it to happen... I do care for them, but without that deep love I get bored of the feelings I get from someone I don't love to... That sounds so wrong, but it's the case... Online I can go months or years... One woman I meet online (back in my MUX days pre-3D graphics) and I considered her my best friend for years. We would often have virtual sex... Even via IM back when I used ICQ (which was one of the first IM clients before everyone wanted to create one). Online I seem to be able to be friends and have virtual sex with them and not cause issues... Unless the other person gets to greedy... Which is a whole different topic...

But I think this explains my take on love and sex and I feel like I've been talking for hours (probably because I've spent nearly two hours typing this. So I love it at this for now.

Well my RL has gone into the toilet again... so I haven't felt like posting up the things I have ready... Give me some more time... I do plan to do at least a couple more posts this week...Tattoos are up next, and maybe I can do some bathing suits to...

Also I'm contemplating doing something similar to Tober's Oh Hush! blog and doing a running account of my adventures in Midian on a week by week basis. Now if I do it I'm going to make them just a rundown of any major events that happen around me or to me and it would be roughly 1 week behind... What do you all think...?

Shopping Spree Part 2

Well as promised here is part 2 of my shopping spree, lets see if I can finish this before I leave work today... ^_^

First is another design from Pixel Dolls. This one is called 'Bonney'. I just felt like adding the hat as the last design had given me a southern feel that just so required it. This as you can see consists of two parts: a corset and a skirt. The corset has some nice detailing and is a lacy design that fits nicely with almost anything. Not quite as good as the rose corset I got from PD, but that may just be my obsession with roses. The skirt is both a prim skirt and a cover up layer and is a nice frilly design as well. Both pieces look a lot like real lace which is wonderful for someone who likes lace.

Since I seem to have lost the picture of the third PD outfit, instead next up is 'Goth' by RPD. This outfit consists of a bunch of pieces. Blouse, Frilly shirt sleeves, Skirt, and socks. I love the 'laced' top look this blouse has and the red and black pieces look like they were designed into each other like a real blouse. The sleeves however are winners even if my hands do tend to go through them way to often. The skirt however is my least favorite part. It's just a normal skirt layer, which I usually like but as with most skirt layers it 'breaks' in the middle during certain positions. The knee high socks finish this off with cute red and black stripes. Even if I don't like the skirt much I do love this outfit...

This is from DE Designs and is called 'Vixen'. It's inspired by the outfit worn by Rayne in the game series called 'BloodRayne' about a half vampire girl who kills other vampires... It so happens I loved the two games of the series and I love the character Rayne, so when I saw this it became a 'must buy'. And boy what an outfit... To start with it includes: Gloves, Laced corset shirt, bra, jacket, 'skirt' to complete the jacket, panties, pants, and socks... No prim work, but OMG detailing texture work... The whole thing is just great... I'm just not sure what else to say, so maybe I'm a tad to much of a fan girl for this outfit... ^_^

Btw this pic also shows my new neko punk armband I picked up, However I don't remember the name of the shop... So if you know, let me know so I can credit them... While I know I could create the same thing, I love the neko-ness of it, so I wear it alot.

After that we also have another outfit from DE Designs called 'Wishmaster'. It is highly detailed just like Vixen and includes even more pieces to play with as it includes an alternate jacket and alternate pants (the second set being short shorts). Again this is a design I love... The straps/buckles on the jacket I used for this picture alone are enough to make me like it.. The boots (pants layer) though are a nice touch and go fairly well with my rose biker boots from shiny things once I remove the upper part of the boot. The detail again is amazing here and about the equal of the amazing detail in the design I bought from Infinity. Though in the end this was far cheaper than he infinity design, because this outfit came with much more.

The last design for today is actually a freebie from 22nd Century Yedo. Which isn't a store so much, but a club. However I love the silky transparencies of this designs skirt. It's actually two layers of transparent skirt material with a clothing layer skirt underneath. The top manages to fit into this chaos. If only I could get it in shades of red this would be stunning! The green just isn't my color. The ribbons in my hair come with it to, to make an even more flowing mess of loveliness. So even though it's a freebie it gets an honorable mention from me.

Like any other woman when I feel down I go shopping... And I've needed to update this with some new outfits anyways, so here are my finds for this outing:

One complete set from Gritty Kitty was my most recent purchase. The set seems to be called 'Harajuku Luv' for the modern Japanese style it resembles. It includes a smock, undies, that amazingly detailed skirt, and the leg warmers I'm wearing in the picture. It also has some additions you can purchase such as leggings and paired barrette + bangle combos. I love the detailing in this outfit and with so many layers to mix and match, I'm having way to much fun in the couple of hours I've played with it so far. However the skirt, as always, can be a pain to fit. It's very much a love/hate relationship with the skirt, as I love the design and the detail, but even I have problems fitting the darn thing making a 'pants' cover up layer needed, could we at least start making them a skirt layer...? The leg warmers are all sorts of cool as well with several versions to choose from in the same pack. The last thing I'm going to spent time on is the undies... These come in a single pack with (I believe) six styles and 4 pieces (pant or bottoms and bra or shirt) each for 24 items alone! Really great work, please Gritty Kitty make more womens clothes!

Next up is a close-up on some new items I grabbed from Curious Kitties. First up is that tiny speck on the left side of my nose, unfortunately these days SL doesn't seem to want to zoom all that close so I couldn't show it any better... But I am wearing a cute little blue nose stud gem. It was cheap and cute, so don't blame me, blame the cute! Then their is that lip ring I'm sporting. It's a tiny silver cat paw design which is just darling... And finally the cutest of the cute is that 'nekolace' as Curious Kitties styles it. It has a black kitten with a flexi tail on a red string with tiny little bells on it! It's just so cute I couldn't resist... Of course it looks far far better in person, so you'll have to go to the store yourself to buy it or find me in person.

Don't think I've covered this outfit before, it's Little Miss Gaisa. It's a geisha inspired design from Lil Nekos (which is related to LVS). This is heavy on the prim extras with bows (2 arm bows & 1 back bow), a pair of hair sticks, and ruffles for the socks. It's also got that wonderful frilly skirt. All in a red and black design with some fairly good detailing you can see in the right light. This shot however was a sunset pick from my SL house, but I think it looks good for the blog to even if it seems a bit small. I love this for when I want to be all goth loli or just wear something fairly old fashioned and cute.

The last design for right now is Matalin from Pixel Dolls, this came out a bit ago... But I ran out of cash and wanted to do all three outfits at the same time. Well I got tired of waiting so here is the first of the designs. This is also the first time I ever wore a hat in SL. It looks a bit off in this picture, but It makes me feel like some sort of cowgirl in SL. Which makes a bit of sense since Nephilaine was watching to much Firefly at the time... ;)

Anyways, This design uses a one sided half skirt with what looks almost like a one piece below it as the bottoms match into the shirt. The shirt itself is a wonderful texture and an interesting design. The sleeves are sculptie ruffles with lace. The hat is also from Pixel Dolls and is one of her sculptie designs, it's just called 'curved brim hat' in my inventory. I've worn this design several times though and I love it.

Amazingly it took me from 7 am at work til 4 pm to write just this much because they've been keeping me jumping... So more for you tomorrow, but first a bonus pic of me in my lovely new Harajuku outfit (this time with the bra top), enjoy! ^_^

Well titles aren't working today, so this gets to be title-less... But I felt like commenting on SL & RL...

SL has been something of a crazy thing lately for me... I left working at Castle Hornet, for reasons I don't really want to go into. I like everyone there I really do, but I needed a break from certain things there. So I took a job at the Perfumed Garden. Which also has a great bunch of gals working at it. Things however did not go as planned, after a week I'd made a whole $300L (in roughly 15 hours of working there), that's $20L an hour... I can almost beat that with crappy camping chairs... So I needed a change.... again... Clothes are expensive in SL as in RL, maybe not as expensive... but when you consider that you don't 'own' anything when you buy clothes in SL... It becomes a very expensive thing... So I've started working at a new club called 'Virgins and Vixens' while spending my stressed out nights in Midian trying to get involved there on my 2 hours or so a night I can spend in SL on a non-weekend. Feel free to stop by my new place of work and hang out for awhile! (Just please remember to tip!)

RL has been even more stressful... I've mentioned her once before, but my girl (and the love of my life) has been going through a ton of stress this week. For starters I should mention she has 2 kids from two previous relationships... The father of her son (the older of her two kids) is suing for increased custody, or more accurately he's being pushed by his wife and his parents to sue for increased custody... Then the father of her second child has decided after pushing her away for years that he has been getting to little attention from her as if they were together... Tip to stupid guy #2, She doesn't want your sorry ass! But she's to nice to say that and she outright forbid me to say it... Cause she knows I would, with my foot up his ass... Added to this is another ex of hers who has shown up begging favors of her and both suggesting he wants her again and that he doesn't depending on day and time. This one is a bigger problem as she still has feelings for him. So he'll make a play on her emotions when he sees her (which is fairly often as his brother just so happens to be my girl's neighbor <_<>_> ), and begs cash for smokes, tattooes, or just plain food from her... Then turn around and sleep with another of my girl's neighbors (who caused a scene the other day sayin' how she was gonna have this guys baby)...

Maybe it's just my strong lesbian tendancies, but... WTF is wrong with some women..? This guys a big giant capitol L loser... He's been to jail for possession of illegal substances, he isn't all that great lookin', and he acts like he's still 10 years old... No wait that was a disservice to 10 year olds... Why in hell would you want to be with him...?

Sigh... But getting back to the point... All this has driven her up a wall and into deciding that she can't take all this stress and so many people that all want her attention and time... And instead of telling them to take a hike, she tells me that she wants to 'take a break from us'... So sadly I'm not the happiest kitten around right now... But I have things to do today, I'll post more later...

To start off with today I'll do some items from HAD (Hollow Angel Designs):

This first one is a 'silk' design called 'Aire Elements', which is part of a set of element designs they offer. This one is very nice with all sorts of lacy/frilly/bejeweled accents. Really otherwise my pictures speaks for itself. It does have some nice armbands with flexi-strands and you can buy a hair strand to go in it as well, with a matching textured hair band to keep it in place... The downside to that is it expects long hair... Which you'll notice I hardly ever wear... ^_^

Next is 'Elements Silk Fire', which is more of a tattoo of sorts than a set of silks or an outfit... and which comes with a very ugly skirt... Sorry, but that thing is rather ugly and you'll probably never see me wear it... It's also very non-flexi as it's a skirt layer... The fire textures are sweet though... If only it seemed more like 'clothes' than 'tattoos' I'd wear it allot more... It has a second top texture, so you can even very out the pattern to suit your taste... The one is a tad less PG on my skin as it has transparent areas right were my nips are...!

Up next is the 'Brocade Goth Gown'... Of which I have no idea why it's called a 'gown'... It's more a long coat over lingerie... Which isn't a bad thing at all, but... ^_^ Anyways... The long coat is a jacket and skirt layer pair, and has absolutely ugly texturing... The edges are all ratty and blocky and the texture itself is just not appealing... Makes me think I'm a homeless guy or something... Not what I want in my look... >_> The lingerie part though is cute and sexy... It just needs something over top of it unless your in the bedroom and it's not that ugly jacket...
So far I haven't found a good match, but I'm still looking!

This also shows off the boots a little which also came from HAD, They are fairly nice boots with metal buckles along the sides. They are a tad over-sized for my shape and height, but so are most boot designs in SL...

Now this next design is called 'Egyptian Silk', and does in fact conjure images of egypt in my head... But more egypt at war or egypt metal-crafting, than 'silk'. The top is a nicely detailed metal texture with good accents, which I actually like allot, and they do sell it separately (or something awfully close) . This does haven flexi-prim flowing white fabric armbands which is a nice touch... I love armbands... And the belt ties into the 'silken' skirt nicely, with a nice cotton like fabric texture on the skirt... You'll note I never actually say anything in this outfit is silk (I did tease by calling the skirt 'silken' in quotes though), So why exactly is it called 'Egyptian Silk' again...?

And now we have another design... Which they bill as a full body tattoo... Called 'Black Lace'. The funny thing is that this is basically a take on the fire design above done in black instead of the 'fire' tones that more easily tease you into believing it's a light colored skin tattoo... This is harder to believe as a 'tattoo' than as a very very skimpy lace outfit... Which is how I treat it... I do however love it as a super skimpy and sexy set of lingerie... It works great as that...

Next up is 'Girl Punk', which is a lovely 'cute punk' design. I'm not a big fan of pink, but this outfit uses pink the right way... To make it soften a otherwise 'hard' outfit that is dark in color scheme. This design also sports several skull and crossbones designs... In fact they are all over this outfit... I'm not exactly sure why a fairly 'pirate'-like image is plastered all over it, but that's ok... I love the detail work and the overall quality is high. The prim skirt does have a slight flaw (which you can probably see in the pic), but even that works pretty well. In fact the skirt is one of my more favorite pairings for prim skirts... Rather than using a 'pants' layer to fix issues between it and the main section of the outfit, it uses a skirt layer... Why do I prefer this? Mostly because it doesn't off any under layers like most of the skirt fixes that use pants do... So if you wanted you could wear this one with a set of 'stockings' that go from your feet to up under the skirt where it should... And not look weird.

'Pretty in Punk' is the next outfit. This is a bikini... sort of... I'm really nto sure how this is meant to be worn exactly... Is it meant to go under other clothes...? Or is it actually meant for the beach...? I do have a summer bikini review in the works, but I haven't gotten to far on it yet... Since I couldn't decide though, This will go up here and maybe show up later as well... ^_^ I do love the texturing, the pink and black do go fairly well together and it's just the sort of thing I love to take off... Er... Tease with, yes that's it! ^_^

Moving along we have another favorite of mine, 'Tied and Bound'. This is all straps and ties of various sorts over grey fabrics of different types, the bikini top is a shiny 'leather' texture, the corset is maybe a type of denim material, and the denim pants finish off the pieces. The detail is great, with good accents... I know I so wouldn't want to try to make it... The belt is a prim, but I could not get it to go just where I wanted it... Which was annoying. I think belts are hard to do as prims because like this one most tend to end up getting lodged in various parts of your body as you move... I did manage one good shot were it wasn't stuck in me somewhere though... ^_^

Also another good shot of those boots I mentioned earlier... They look really good with this outfit...

'Untamed' is the last design for this update (because I need to take more pictures). It's got a bikini top that is a red variant of the top from the last outfit, but the corset is of a different style... It also has a amazingly low riding thong... It's a good thing this girl shaves... ^_^ And last are the 'pants', these are actually chaps for pants without anything under them (normal chaps go over jeans). Which is good for in a 'I want to reveal as much SL flesh as possible' way... ;)

Oh and yes I am wearing those same boots again... But this time I tucked them under the chaps rather than wearing the pants tucked into the boots...

Odds & Ends

Yes, I'm really really far behind now... But I have a good excuse! ... Ok, Well I have an excuse anyways...

I've wanted to try my hand at building things since I seem fairly adept at editing shapes and such... So I ended up trying to create something interesting this last weekend... And I think I succeeded... I created an entire line of jewelry! More than 20 pieces in a weekend, because I went on a bit of a binge... Ok 'a bit' is way understating it...

I also decided to take a look into the role-play community on SL and went exploring the basics of the Midian Sim... You know me, I'm all dark and neko-ish, so It seems like a prime fit... However things have settled down at work & I figure I can actually work on my blog again from work... So expect some more updates soon!

Catching up with KO Industries, Infinity, and Ravenwear

Well here are the first round of updates... I have more, I just have to wade through my older pictures and my inventory folders to double check what I haven't posted...

We'll start with this design called 'Cyber Dragon' from Infinity. Infinity is a small store that caters to a mostly demonic crowd and is in a post apocalyptic sim. And recently I've been on a cyberpunk kick so it felt like a good place to shop. Their designs are expensive though, this one cost $700L. The detail work though is incredible: the straps, the zippers, the flame designs, even the belt buckle are all highly detailed. It's done as two pieces a shirt and a pant layer. You'll need to add in your own shoes, I like using a pair of 'shoes' from a KO Industries design below. Is that high level of detail worth it...? I can't tell you... I've been debating that very thing since I bought it out of my own money...

Oh I should also note the hair which is new (well to my look in the blog at least), it's called 'Devo' and it's from Deviant Kitties which is another favorite when it comes to hair.

Next up is a design that launched last weekend at Ravenwear (& was offered to me by Ravenwear for review) , I also meant to post it last sunday and completely forgot... This design is called 'Trend'. I don't really like green, but I do love one thing about this dress: The skirt. It's one of the few prim skirts that needs no 'corrective underlayer'. It's simply a top, a pair of socks, and a prim skirt. The detail on the prim skirt and socks is also very nice. The top is a tad plain, but that's ok. It's all in the skirt with this one.

This next outfit is one I bought from Ravenwear while visiting I also bought a couple of pairs of shoes, but I didn't snap pictures of those right now... This is called 'Goth Control', and is part of a series that are all named 'control' and something else... I love the dog tag style goth labeling this has. It also shows a ton of cleavage which can be nice... that belt is also a nice addition to the pants, which also sports some straps.... And you know me and straps... Both pieces are made out of PVC or a shiny leather, it's hard to tell which. All in all a nice outfit when your heading out and about in a more goth or punk scene...

Now we've moved on to KO Industries, which is a small next to mew which is a interesting scripting store... They sell a interesting 4 legged neko AO there and I was stopping in to buy it when I turned the other way and ran into KO Industries cyberpunk/apocalyptic designs...

The first design is 'Speed Racer', which is an amazingly low cut and open front set of racing leathers. And when I say low, I mean low... As in if I had pubic hair you could see it low... It's a good thing I shave... Anyways... They are a nicely textured grey and red and except for the usual texture issues around my middle things are sweet all around...

To follow up that design is this design called "Racer X' , which as you can see takes the racing concept in different directions... Namely getting rid of the one piece style for a two piece style and this design uses far more layers then the other one. In fact in the picture I'm wearing: shoe, sock, pants, shirt, gloves, and jacket layers all at once. The only thing I don't like is that I can't choose a different color than yellow, for the main body of the shirt and the accents on the shoes, and the design of the shoes which makes the shoes part of the pants. The texturing is high quality on all the parts and I have chosen to wear pieces from this in other outfits, such as the gloves with Infinity's Cyber Dragon outfit.

'Native' is a favorite of mine, I in fact call it my 'hunting' outfit. It has multiple prim accessories: wooden bracers, wooden ankle braces, a shoulder guard, a ringed necklace, a weapon holster/backpack, and two Quiva (a type of weapon) which are even real and use the 'Safezone' combat system. I don't go seeking combat, but if you do this has an added plus for that... The non-prim part of the outfit is only three things: a set of panties, that halter-ish top, and the shoulder pad/backpack belt. The red tattoo is part of the panties with these. I love the detail and texturing on these... On top of all that if you want to modify this outfit you can! It's all modify/copy/no trans.

Lastly from KO Industries we have 'Savage Girl', just the perfect thing the next time you wander into a primitive barbarian sim... My favorite from this is the 'shoes', which are more a type of open-toed sock or foot wrap than shoes. I wear the shoes with Infinity's Cyber Dragon design in place of more traditional footwear. The clothing consists of a 'shirt' which only covers most of the upper half of your breasts and a 'skirt' which is barely there... ;) It also has a ton of prim accessories: Back 'mounted' spear, Usable Spear, knife in leg sheath, hip pouch, gauntlets with or without claws, and ankle braces. I like to wear this design with my 'full' neko skin from Jungle Voodoo for a wild look.

RL Stress & site news

Well my RL job has been driving me nuts all this week and stressing me out to no end. Hence the lack of updates, I've just been far far to busy to post at work and far far to tired when I get home...
You can however expect a few updates this weekend as I don't plan on going anywhere unless I have to... So I hope I get caught up...

Canimal & Site News

Well I meet up with a old friend I haven't seen in about six months yesterday, so I didn't get a chance to do an update. So I will do it today... I also have some more news. **Hybrid**, Deviant Kitties, and Ravenwear all dropped off some items for me to review for you guys! **Hybrid** dropped off neko, kitsune, usagi, and mouse ears/tails and some neko skins. Deviant Kitties sent me a mix of shirts, pants, underwear, accessories, and hair. And Ravenwear sent me a brand new outfit just released today!

Now onto Canimal:

First up is 'stripes' a nice black and white striped dress. I had a bit of an issue with the default skirt size as you can see in the picture, that or it's meant to be an oddly shaped frill. I decided when I started (though I didn't mention it) to review stuff in as default a fashion as possible when it's a set like this is, so I didn't try to edit it for this picture. After all you guys should see that you may have to edit the skirt to fit right... I do like the dress outside the prim skirt issue.

Now we have a black dress called 'forever', now I also had issues with this skirt (I'm starting to wonder about Canimal Zephyr's waist size ^_^ ), but in all it doesn't look as bad because it's black and blends in better. In fact it's hard to notice in this picture. I love the top though with the slits. Nothing like teasing a guy (or gal!) by showing hints of cleavage. I also like the texture, it's almost like a leather in fact I've seen 'leather' textures that look way less like leather than this does.

Now we have a outfit that comes in 4 options: Black shirt, black shirt with skull design, White Shirt, White shirt with skull design. and a better striped mini than what 'stripes' had! Now this skirt actually did fit correctly without altering it. However I didn't like the match to the top... That's not to say I didn't like the top, because I love the texturing and detail of the top. I just don't like it with this skirt, but maybe you do and that's just fine! I will however wear both parts in other outfits...

Canimal also sent me 2 'payu payu' bikini sets, a 'cute punk' set and a 'poka dot' set. These I'm going to hold off on, as I'm hoping to get some more swimwear shortly... Then I'll have a big summer swimwear roundup... I will say I like the cute punk set though... I doubt I'm going to find to many punk swimsuits... Are punks not meant to like lounging in the pool...? I know my piercings aren't going to rust because I like the water... ^_^

I also want to round out my reviews of Last Call within my inventory... So...

This yummy studded leather set! I love this thing... It's got a nicely detailed jacket layer which is leather with studs in it and a built-in textured studded collar. Then we have a nice white studded front top that is a shirt layer. To finish it off we have these nice striped texture pants with their own belt. Once in awhile I'll be tempted to take out the white top to show some more skin (not that I'm not already in this outfit!), but otherwise I don't alter this in any way when I wear it... Which for me is rare...

Site News & Updates

Hello everyone!

I've gotten swamped at work the last couple of days so no shopping for me... I did however get a system in at work that can run SL... Though at a whole whoppin' 1.5 fps, so it's nearly useless... But I can at least check in on occasion and maybe sort through my inventory when I forget a name while I'm writing my reviews... So that should be an improvement.

I've also been looking at buying a house RL-wise because I'm way past tired of renting and roommates... So that's taken up some time over the last couple days as well. I'm awfully tempted to over spend when it comes to getting a house... I want a pool, A/C, jacuzzi bath, patio/deck, nice yard... Which is kinda bad... ^_^

Now onto fashion news... Canimal was nice enough to send me some things to review this morning before I left for work... So I'll be taking a look later tonight and should have a review up tomorrow or Sunday. I'm also working on that really really big Pixel Dolls finale with all the other bits I picked up from there. I'm hoping to finish that this weekend... I'm also trying to get in touch with more places about taking a look at some of their designs.

Site News, Nocturnal Threads, and Mischief by RPD

Well I've lined up contacts with a few more places to review some of their designs. One of which I'll cover in this post (Nocturnal Threads), though I'm also talking with Canimal. This pretty kitty can't afford to buy out stores on her dancers budget! Well I could if you all come and tip me everyday, but I don't expect that! I also had the club owner at Castle Hornet take a few of us dancing girls out shopping and we ended up in Mischief (a Rising Phoenix Designs line). Where he gave us some $L and let us play... It was awfully nice of him. ^_^

Now for the clothes (Lingerie first!):

First up is (fill in the name here, yes, yes, I forgot it!) from Mischief. This design is hot... It's semi-sheer so it looks like your showing off all your assets, but you don't... I love that the top isn't just some sort of bra, but a wrap around section of fabric ala a tube top with nice red lace trim. The panties are more traditional in design, if not look, and duplicates the top for it's detailing and fabric. This also comes with the stockings to complete the look, though they aren't semi-sheer like the top and panties are. They do however have the same detailing.

Next up is (yep, forgot again!) from Mischief. This is awfully sexy with what looks like black velvet and with red and black lace. The top is a corset design which uses a jacket layer to add the lace corset fishnet part, so this can be converted to just a velvet bra look. The panties of course match the top and the red and black work deliciously together. Now this design has sheer black stockings with a red and black lace band along the top. In fact I was tempted to use those with the first outfit, but it didn't quite look right...

The last lingerie piece is this attractive number called (of course I forgot!). It's made of leather done to a shine to look like PVC with cut out slits under your bust and a zipper down the middle of the top! Who can resist showing off the underside of your breasts and zippers?! It comes with matching leather panties which look like they have a zipper on the front, but when you look closely it's more of a metal design rather than an actual zipper... I was kinda disappointed in that... I mean zippers are handy... Anyways... the extra for this set is the wrist cuffs made with the same styling as the rest of the outfit. It did not come with stocking, I just decided to keep wearing the ones from the previous design because they were nice and this design didn't come with any...

Now for something a bit different we have a 'club' outfit from Mischief called "Call of the Wild". Oh and what a call it makes! I just had to toss my spots back on for this one... It has a leopard spotted fabric under-layer for the top with a 'bra' type design in black over top of it, which is just all animal sexy... It comes with leopard spotted panties to, which are hard to see as a separate item in the picture because they are meant to stick out from the low cut black pants, which has it's own sexy leopard spotted trim. My only wish is that I could have the pattern texture match my red and black neko colors... That would look incredible on me...

Now onto some Nocturnal Threads Loving! Since I wondered into the Nocturnal Threads store I've loved their stuff... But I always seem to run out of cash before I manage to buy much of anything from their store... Such is the life of a neko clotheswhore... Well Kaia was nice enough to solve this problem for me by tossing a few outfits my way! She also included a few men's outfits, so I had the owner of Castle Hornet do a bit of modeling for me! Show Louis some love for lending a hand. ^_^

First up is a sexy design called 'RAWR' if I remember correctly. I love the concept and this comes with several parts to play with. Black leather textured gloves that come down to mid forearm lead into a sweet fishnet accented top with a interesting black and white spot patterned banding making up the edges. Their is also a second top which does away with the fishnet for when you want something more revealing! This is designed as a 'one piece' that ties into the panties included with the set whether you wear the fishnet or non-fishnet tops. It also has lovely black stockings with a fabric band above the actual top of the stockings themselves, which I thought was a sexy touch! ^_^ My only issue with the outfit is the 'skirt' which looks like not much of anything... Sorry Kaia, but I just didn't like that part... Luckily their is no need with this outfit to wear any part you don't like.

Next up is a new outfit from them called Salmonelle Which is a lovely design, though much to pinkish for my usual taste. I still think it looks good on me, but a bit more red would be awesome! ^_^ Hehe I love the reds and blacks a bit to much I think... Kaia if you ever do this in red base with black let me try it on! Anyways... It's a cute pink bodice style top that links directly to a prim skirt, the bodice has black stripes leading down the front and a nice 'black star burst' effect leads into the pink on the skirt. It also comes with the pink stockings/thigh-high socks that you see in the picture. The black velvet looking jacket tops off the design with it's nice riveted buttons and pink lacing on the arms. It also includes that pink 'neck scrunchie' prim that is very sweet... If not for the jacket, and way short skirt for that time, I'd almost think I was back in the 60's or performing in 'Grease'...

Followed by this male/unisex outfit, which I felt was so sexy with all it's straps and zippers that Louis couldn't have it! ^_^ It's ok Louis I'm sure she'd love it if you bought your own! It only has two parts, a jacket and a set of pants... But you don't need more! The jacket is a sweet leather texture with all sorts of highlight pieces in the way of buckles, straps, and zippers. The pants match, though they have these nice giant ring buckles with zippers... I wish I had a real outfit that looked like this... Oh and before I forget there is also a nice collar built into the jacket that is a different texture, much like real jackets, but sometimes lacking in SL...

Now this next one is the latest from Nocturnal Threads called 'Whisper' and it includes a ton of options... First it's a wonderful dark black... Second it has skull images on the shirt and the backs of the gloves, though it's subtle in design since it's a darker grey color, so it mixes in fairly well with the dark black of the normal texture. As for pieces, it includes a jacket, a matching dress (shirt and skirt), a pair of pants, and thigh high socks/stockings. The jacket is a little black single button shrug/crop top style, perfect for showing off what your wearing under it... The gloves are nice open finger types and the pants look like a nice pleated design, though they are fairly plain. The dress though is sweet and can easily be worn with nothing else from this set. Besides the skull emblem top the skirt is a sort of black and grey plaid pattern that is lovely...

Next up we switch to men's fashions with Louis Modeling for us! He was mildly unwilling even for free clothing, so the pictures look a tad dark... This is the 'Mael Rouge' which is a nice goth look for men. It includes a nicely detailed jacket (and shirt underneath) with elbow patches and lovely red button tabs. This jacket also uses the 'skirt' layer to make coat trails... It was so hard to convince Louis to wear anything with the word 'skirt' attached to it., but in the end I won and he put it on! It also includes red gloves to match the jacket. The outfit is finished off by a pair of black pants.

Finally we have the male version of 'Whsiper'. For men it's a long Tee with the skull emblem much like the women's version and a pair of long pants. It also has a pair of gloves almost identical to the female version... In fact most of what I said about the female version applies here. I just love the female version more, since I can wear it... ;)

Mega Update pt 2: Pixel Dolls & Last Call

Well this weekend didn't turn out as planned at all, with little time spent in SL... And most of that was spent shopping... ^_^

Here is that Pixel Dolls coverage I've been promising! I didn't write down the names of the outfits so I'll update that part later tonight...

Arabesque is part of the new set of limited Edition outfits, unfortunately the lighting was not the best so it's hard to see in this picture. It's a very classic style dress in Burgundy with silver/white highlighting and designs. The pattern of choice is an array of stars. The fabric looks to be a kind of satin with parts of it possibly being felt due to the detailed texturing it has.. It's not my usual style to be sure, but it is a gorgeous dress. If you get invited to something like a ball or any other event you may want to dress up for (without looking gothic) this is a good choice. I'm wearing my lovely jewelry from the Kadin set by Solange in this picture proving how easy that jewelry is to match to most anything.

Crisalede is also from Pixel Dolls Limited Edition collection. It's a faerie inspired design that feels perfect for any fantasy setting... Or strip off the wings and suddenly you have a rather nice 'barbarian/primitive' look. Which is actually how I'm likely to wear it, which is sort of a shame as the wings are incredibly nice flexi gossamer types that flow through the air in an impressive fashion. The skirt and the rest of the dress are composed of a nice mesh of color (red in this case) and black base that offers a nice effect. As with the Arabesque design I'm wearing the jewelry from the silk outfit by Solange in yesterdays update.

Xenia is from the four new limited edition designs and it's my favorite. It has a billowing fabric top that makes me feel like I'm wearing an elaborate piece of satin instead of a 'shirt' or 'bra' or some such upper body covering... Which I rather like... The sleeves though are my favorite thing, you can't really see them in this picture, but the are flexi 'armbands' that trail long flowing pieces of sheer fabric. The skirt rounds things out, with a nicely patterned fabric and a long flowing skirt... It can easily look goth, or formal with next to no work... It's also great with a little lingerie under it... Especially lace or sheer fabric... Makes it look even sexier...

Misere is the last of the outfits from the Limited Edition set just released by Pixel Dolls. I bought it in a Burgundy as Red and black are my two most common colors (black and purple being my alternative choices). The top for this is sort of a bodice design of which their are 4 versions: with and without scarf, as well as 'dress' and 'standalone' versions. The one in the picture is the non-scarf 'standalone'. The arms of the design included semi-sheer scupltie sleeve puffs with lace fringe. The skirt is flexi and will drag on the floor if you arent' careful, but I doubt anyone buying this is going to mind. I like it and I don't, it's really frustrating. Personally I think I would have liked it better if it had a mid-length skirt (chop it off at the color change) and dropped the sleeve puffs for something else (though I'm not quite sure what, maybe cuffs of some sort?) then I would utterly love the design...

This next one is actually from Last Call (Which I believe is called 'Seduction) and it slipped into my Pixel Dolls pictures folder, but it makes a great sexy red dress, perfect for those times you feel like being a complete tease to every guy (& girl) you meet! It includes an alternative top which has cut out panels wrapping around the bottom of your bust to show even more skin in all the right places... The top is the best part as far as creativity in design goes, but the skirt is actually one of the nicer skirts I've seen so far. As with the designs above I continued wearing the Kadin jewelry set here as well.

Mega Update Part 1: Solange, Nymphetamine, Curious Kitties

Well I was waiting for my favorite someone today and what, of course, would I do while waiting...? Yes that's right this utter clotheswhore went shopping! First since search is back up (I'd forgotten to manually bookmark them!) I headed over to Curious Kitties and laid down some cash for a few pieces... Then I decided to stop by Nymphetamine and pick out a few things... That's where I saw a nice silk outfit... and decided to go silk shopping! So I went to Solange... I then ran out of money.... very very quickly... So here is a rundown of what I bought. ^_^

The first thing I picked up was this sweet dress called 3045... It comes in black and purple, but I was in a red mood... It's very future urban like allot of Curious Kitties designs. Not a bad thing however. With my current skin I do flash a bit of breast on the sides, probably a bit more than I'd want normally... But It's a shirt layer item, so you can wear a bra underneath if you wanted to... It also includes gloves to match the dress itself. The skirt is nicely slit down the side showing some ass, but not to much. I love this design, my only complaint is that it costs twice most of their other outfits in price... It is lovely though, and could work as a 'little red dress'.

Next is a puppet master outfit from Curious Kitties, this includes props (which you can't see because of my pose when I took this) that mimic those puppet rods that you use to make them move and they trail flexi 'strings' around. It's a very interesting effect. The shirt is rather nice for this design, though I'm not much for white. I also didn't think the skirt was all that great, but it's inclusion does make this a complete outfit. The skirt itself is two pieces a skirt layer and a prim skirt, the prim skirt looks good with little slits in it for effect. It however can't really be worn by itself and I found the accompanying skirt layer downright annoying. It begins well above the prim skirt and extends way to far out the sides....

This little number is called 'Subete Gothic Lolita Dressie'. I don't think it works well in the end and I think my issues with it are that the skirt looks wrong for this outfit. I actually do like the skirt, just not here... The the whole thing looks sort of... Classic by about 2 centuries, minus the skirt being way to short for that period. I want to like it, but I don't think it works quite as they planned and it looked far far better in the sign. The texturing though is awfully nice and I think with pieces from other outfits I may come up with a good use for the parts from this. Mostly the 'socks', gloves, and the shirt. I don't think I have anything to match well with the skirt or I could probably save that as well.

Now on to Nymphetamine where I picked up something called "Gildamish Silk Set". I absolutely _Love_ this outfit. It's all silver metal work on filmy black fabric. Twisting curving serpentine designs highlight all the right places and a few more areas. The fabric isn't really that important in this design, but it does provide a base for the rest of this outfit to work from. It also has a absolutely lovely semi-sheer black 'skirt' of fabric that trails and flows seductively around you when you walk in this. It comes highly recommended and for 'silk' isn't a bad price at all for what you get... It however does leave something to be desired compared to...

This outfit from Solange called "Kadin" which is meant as a Turkish Harem silk outfit. As you can tell by the picture I picked it up in Red with Silver trim... This is easily the most gorgeous outfit I've ever seen in SL. Their are a ton of pieces to this... Even more so if you buy the insanely detailed micro-prim Jewelry collection that goes with this. There is a crazy amount of detail in this outfit, if I bought silk in RL like this I'd be spending at least a grand on it... It also has more pieces then you can use at once, so you can customize the amount of skin you show... In this case I showed about as much as possible. Just me, the silk, and the fine silver jewelry... ^_^ The only downside I can think of for this outfit is the price... Between jewelry and silks it ends up costing about $1500L. It however is worth every penny... It's also currently my favorite silk set of all time.

I also grabbed this little number called "Sahara" in black with gold trim. In this picture I tossed on the short short strip of fabric that someone may be able to call a 'skirt', but I can't... ;) It does have a long skirt version, but it does not have the sheer wealth of options that the more expensive Kadin set has. Which is understandable. The Kadin with all it's lovely texturing is a very hard act to follow. This is still one of the best Silk outfits I've seen and nearly ties the set of silks from Nymphetamine in my favorites, in the end I'd still buy this if you want a good set of silks. As I did in the picture I'd also suggest pairing it with the jewelry for the Kadin set or better yet a good selection of gold jewelry if you buy the black with gold trim as I did. I am a tad lacking in gold jewelry so I went with the jewelry for the Kadin set instead.

Pixel Dolls Snake Charmer Jeweled Dress

Well this last weekend I went to Pixel Dolls as part of my review gift, I've been holding off on doing my review only because of the picture issues I finally fixed a couple days ago. This morning I took a few of their Snake Charmer Jeweled Dress, I have it in both black and red. Though I took the pictures in the black with the jeweled necklace from the red. I mixed them because I prefer the red 'ruby' gems to the dark 'black' gems. I also wore a Rose corset 'jacket' in the one picture, which I think works very nicely with the outfit. This outfit is one I love... I've even worn it out and about and want to find a 'best in black' competition that I can go to this weekend... I think it's quite hot enough I could win...

Draconic Kiss

Well after a really really long day I'm finally posting an update....

Got a review copy of Draconic Kiss's new line of skins (that I mentioned the other day), the one I received was the Cream skin. Not the lightest and hardly the darkest. I got a variety pack of 'glitter' and 'frost' make-ups, though I have to be honest I didn't see a big difference between them.

While I wasn't wearing a bikini earlier in the pictures I have up, I think you'll be able to see the differences without to much trouble. I'd have gone 'nude', but I didn't want to have issues with visitors seeing a naked AV and complaining, so... Bikini instead. Now These skins are hand drawn and the detail is very very high. The first thing I've noticed is that the highlighting and accents on the breasts makes them look bigger, now I love my tiny perk tits compared to the inflatable doll look to many go for in SL... But this didn't actually change their size, so it's pure optical illusion. Kinda like the old secret of using make up between your breasts to make them look bigger in RL.... Not that I've ever done such a thing...

They also have options for a clean shaven pubic area or a trimmed one... The shaven one actually includes a drawn outline of a normal slit to make things look 'right' when your nude. I loved this as I saw many skins that made it look like women don't have genitals! We are so not barbi dolls and I think most guys are happy about that... For a summation of the rest... It looks very nice, in fact good enough I'd eat myself if I could!

I also felt I should toss up some pics of the spots I bought the other day, and I figured I'd review a outfit called 'tie me up' from Wilted Rose while I did that. This is an oddly casual look for Wilted Rose, as they tend to be more edgy... I like the look and even think the pink belt prim is cute. I wear it out and about where 'norms' are likely to be... The Capri's with the pink belt are the selling point here as the shirt looks like millions of others. The rolled up capri's are really nice though and I know I can use them anytime I'd wear jeans in SL.

Btw the pink ball on the ground in these pictures is that ball of yarn I mentioned! I still love that thing...

Skin Shopping...

Well my day is crazy today, so I'll keep this short...

I headed skin shopping last night, since I've decided to update my skin look... I've been using a nice skin that was cheap, it however was always a sort of rosy hued skin and that I don't like... I'm more of a night owl even though my job doesn't let me stay up nearly as late as I used to... So I should be more like my pale burn if I tan RL self...

So off I headed to every well known and not so well known skin shop: Gala (expensive and didn't seem that great to me), Naughty (didn't really like anything I saw), Sin Skins (to hard to shop at, search turned up a tiny selection of them out of the Pixel Dolls store area), Chip Midnight (I liked some of them, but he seems to go from 'tanned' to 'porcelain doll'), Nomine (I liked their China Doll skins), and Pixel Deep (Which I liked a good bit and are nice because they can change shades using the appearance sliders)... In the end however I stopped by Draconic Kiss (I was tired and was actually figuring I'd buy some clothes), when I happened upon their new line of skins... And no not the doll ones (I'm just nto the doll type), it's their brand new Renovar line of skins. I'm partial to cream and Almond (I believe). They also had one of the few skins that are shaved without forgetting to make it look like you still have genitals! I saw way to many skins that go for the shaved pubic hair look, but don't show anything even vaguely looking looking like you have genitals... So what I'm a barbie doll with no pussy just because I want to look shaved...? Well DK was one of 2 that seemed to get the idea. I'm awfully tempted to toss some RL cash into SL cash, so I can buy one... Payday why are you so far away!

Site News, New ventures, and even more shopping!

Hi everyone!

Things didn't go quite as planned this weekend, because I have been looking for a reliable way of uploading pictures to the blog (hence the fill-in spots for pictures I've taken, but can't stick on the page). I think I've found a solution however, so once I get home tonight I'll try uploading all my existing pics and linking them back in on here. Once that's done I'll start snapping more pics of myself in the different outfits I've bought...

I'll mention from within SL that their is now a 'Neko Clotheswhores and those that love them' group you can join! A group of us realized that we are just crazy for clothes shopping and so were most of the other neko shoujo we knew... So we made a group! Feel free to join up! Also I submitted my first poetry writings to a bookstore in SL. I can't remember the name of the store at work here, but I'll edit this to include it once I get home. So far the people that have seen my work like it, so I'm happy... ^_^

I did however go shopping this weekend, but it was for neko gear... In fact I spent all day Sunday hopping from neko place to neko place... I would hope most people already know about Jungle Voodoo, but their is also the elusive **Hybrid** that has a ton of stuff... Including a ball of yarn! You don't understand the kitteny goodness of a ball of yarn until you've seen it in action! I've searched for about a week now to find a ball of yarn and I finally did at **Hybrid**. Hehe my club now has a ball of yarn on the floor for neko's to play with! If I only had a house I'd have a cute little neko bed (for up to 3 neko!), but I have no place to put it so it will stay in the store til I buy it... It's cute though as it looks like a laundry basket... Stick in 3 half-naked kitty girls and you have a scene at once cute and sexy!

I also picked up a pack of Neko spot tats at **Hybrid**, so when I'm in the mood for it I can look even more neko in a tiny bikini and a bunch of spots... Or this set of leather straps and spots... ;)

Brief Shopping Spree, Pixel Dolls, & Seburo PD

Well my RL GF's birthday didn't quite go as planned and everyone ended up all stressed out, so I did in fact make it home in time to do some shopping... And I was on a fairly limited budget as I'd gotten down to something like $60L after my last shopping trip... Then I found it... A sweet shirt and tie from Torrid Wear that was cheap! And so an idea struck me to replace that bad schoolgirl outfit with a new one... So I went looking for a vest or jacket to go with it and came upon a 'sweater jacket' from Pixel Dolls... I bought it up in as dark a color as I could get (a charcoal grey color) because most of my wardrobe is full of darker colors... and purples or reds... and I want to reuse it if at all possible. I however ran out of money at this point... So I returned to the club I work at to check in and look for a suitable skirt... My plaid skirts are all red base-color designs and even though the tie does have those colors in it, they didn't work together... So hunting through my archive of clothes I went... And came out with a grey satin mini-skirt. I left on my thigh-high black socks, tossed on some black mary jane shoes, and for the heck of it added in some black lace gloves. It doesn't look like a normal schoolgirl outfit, but it does look like a private bordering school girl outfit... A tad domish for my tastes, but it looks nice and is way way better then the store bought outfit...

This morning however I got a nice surprise... I'd hopped over to the Pixel Dolls blog after visiting one of their stores and noticed a new plan to replace sending review copies to fashion blogs (I've noticed well known blogs get sent review outfits when reading their blogs)... So I figure I'd send off a note asking if I could get in on the deal... Well this morning I got my reply
, which was a nice gift from Nephilaine Protaganist. So I went shopping!

I headed over to what I believe is the main store, it's positively huge so I can't imagine it was a side store, and went nuts picking through clothes... I picked up some new sculptie designs she just rolled out and bunches of outfits and various pieces... I also checked out the partners/lines like Seburo PD... Who I picked up a great outfit from called 'nightmare', it's all red and black leather and is a complete set from undies on up to skirt and jacket layers. In fact my favorites from this outfit are the jacket and skirt layers, which are a sets of straps/belts/buckles that crisscross around the front and back... I have the feeling I will be using those with many outfits from now on. The shirt and pants are also very good, with a lot of nice detailing (though due to coloring it can be hard to catch some of the details). The undies are the worst thing about it, they would be fine except they look like someone cut them out with sheers... Now sometimes I don't mind looking like that, but I was a tad disappointed with it here. I'll probably use some black lace or black leather panties and bra (well if I decide to wear either) underneath this due to that. But with such nice pieces for the rest of the outfit I think I can safely ignore the 'undies issue'. Oh it also comes with black socks and shoes/boots (which are hard to see except at the heel because they blend), nothing fancy and the shoes are non-prim but that's ok as far as I'm concerned.

RL Girlfriends Birthday

My Girlfriend in RL is a birthday girl today, so I probably won't get into SL today to do any shopping. Probably sorta good as I have a whole $80L to my name at the moment due to my last shopping spree... ;)

If you do catch a glimpse of me tonight it would probably be dancing at Castle Hornet... I'm trying to talk my boss at the club into buying some of those nice outfits for guys at Nocturnal Threads, so maybe we can even get him into wearing some nice clothes for a change... ^_^

Early Morning Shopping...

Well I woke up 2 hours early today and couldn't get back to bed, so I did what any other clothes-whore would do... Go Shopping!

This mornings first stop was Stellar Designs to see what their policy on handling exchanges is. This was disappointing... Their policy allows no refunds, exchanges, returns, and no exceptions... Gesh... I want to try some of your other outfits, but I'm not sure I want to deal with absolutely no returns or exchanges... Sometimes it looks good on the model, but not the AV... Less of a problem with the real world, but in RL we can exchange anything that's not damaged!

Then I went looking in my list of shopping 'targets' and headed over to Nomine... I've been meaning to visit it more, but it always seems to crash SL... So I decided to give it another shot... I also happened to bump into a pair of Neko escort girls there shopping for skins... Personally I tried a demo of the 'china' skin while I was visiting the skin section, but the price of skins is a tad steep for me atm with all the other clothes purchases I'd like... Upstairs was more interesting bits and pieces... I wish someone would buy me the rose dress or that spider queen outfit (among many many others!) and those sexy animations looked awfully fun... But three crashes later I'd had more than enough of Nomine... Wish I knew why I can't really visit that lovely place...

So moving down the list I decided to take a look at Huddles which is a group that does scripting and HUD gadgets/toys. They have one particular device which I'd love to try out with handy AO features for dancing and all sorts of fun looking extras... Sigh, if only it weren't twice the cost of a full outfit from a normal clothes shop... Seems the perfect thing for a party girl...

It seems though that they have a deal with two more interesting stores which I then took trips to: Skanks-R Us & Nocturnal Threads.

Skanks-R Us has a small, but insanely well textured set of goth, leather, and other alternative clothes and accessories. I could easily drop a few $k L in there with few problems... Oh and they ask for suggestions on new items! I know I'd love a pair of shiny Gothic silver anklets... I'm not sure why, but anklet's are so hard to find... Does know one else want to show off their legs with a splash of metallic gleam...?

Next I turned to Nocturnal Threads. Nocturnal Threads seems a bit bigger than Skanks-R Us and (listen up guys!) carries mens clothes! Yes it's not all for the ladies here! Always wanted to match your Gothic sweetie, but couldn't find any good threads...? Look no further! Back to my area of expertise though... I could easily drop $20 USD in the womens clothes section without noticing and there is this sweet open front unisex jacket in the mens department I would kill to have...

I also ran into another neko at Nocturnal Threads, helping a man in need of some clothing assistance... And probably charging him a pretty penny for the much needed helping hand... ^_^

I guess this is when all the neko's come out to play! Tonight I think I'll need to do some shopping at Casual Kitties... I love so many pieces of clothing there it's always hard to go...

Today's shopping trip: Stellar Designs & Wild Rose

Well I went shopping which is basically a daily routine for me and I decided to go looking for a schoolgirl outfit... Yes I know hardly an original quest, but I felt kinky and just knew I could make some guys drool with my neko jogakusei (cat schoolgirl)...

I'd heard Stellar Designs had a good schoolgirl design, so I decided to head there and take a look. Now I've never been there before, so the first thing I do is wonder around looking at all the clothes (I didn't check out Stellar Designs other sections yet). I saw a few 'could be a schoolgirl' designs before finding the schoolgirl design I'd heard about. I also found what looked like a hot teacher outfit and a few sexy looking Gothic or leather numbers... But I was on a mission, so I'll come back for those. This is what I ended up with:

Which doesn't look bad... The outfit didn't come with socks or shoes so those both came from my previous outfit for this picture and I think both were actually freebies I came across. The hair is from Wilted Rose and is my current favorite in 'wild red' colors. If you visit Wilted Rose you will find this hair with very few problems. The neko accessories are from Jungle Voodoo and I bought a pack of both leopard spot and striped designs in a large range of colors just awhile ago.... I love them so much! They even twitch and move on their own!

Unfortunately I can't praise this schoolgirl outfit, even though I do think it can look good... My favorite part is the flexi skirt which does an amazing job of looking cute and sexy on the outside... The problem I have with it comes down to the base clothing level which gives the look it's sweet belt look, from the inside though rather than being a underwear or skirt base, the made this layer pants... So if I bend over for a sexy pose it looks like I'm wearing ugly tartan shorts rather than a cute sexy thong or even white panties... Depending on if I'm trying to look innocent or not... ;) Note to the designer: change this! I want to be a sexy schoolgirl not the one with the worst ass around! Now on to the top... The top is one layer, which sucks... The vest is attached to the shirt as is the tie... It looks... Ok, but it would have been so much better if the tie was flexi (as some other outfits I saw were) and had the sweater as a jacket layer that I could even mix 'n match later. The detail though on the top is sorely lacking...

In the end I just don't like the outfit, no matter how much I do want to like it... Could we please have an updated version...? Pretty please...? With a frilly red neko on top...? ;)

So I went back to mt previous outfit... My favorite sexy red dress!

This design is one I think I picked up as a freebie and I cannot find the original owner of it... If you know I want to hear from you! I'm just dying to pick up a black version of this! I have not found a better sexy dress & I've been looking! The gloves however are from yet another outfit, that I'd tried on prior to donning this dress and forgot to take off, when I found out they match very well... They come from yet another collection of freebie goods that had no name on them, so I can't tell anyone that I like them... Finishing the outfit is this nice fishnet shrug which also comes from Wilted Rose. I love this sexy little shrug (which is colorable, though here it's in plain white to contrast the rest of the outfit), I try it with almost everything as it's my favorite 'jacket'. It comes in a nice set of fishnet items. Bikini top and bottom, thigh highs, gloves, and shrug with some items having dual layer options so it's your choice which layer you wear it as. It was also inexpensive, which is always a plus. I'll use this set in another outfit I'll show off tomorrow...

I'll also mention Wilted Rose has a discount off-shot called Freebie Jeebies that carries some nice (& not so nice) things all for $1L. I bought a bunch of fun T's there and managed to win my fave t-shirt of all time there as well (it's my shirt with the word 'slut' written all over it)! ^_^

Hello World Wide Web!

Ok both in real life and in my virtual life I'm a complete clothes-whore... I 'play' Second Life and I start doing things I wouldn't dream of in real life (well ok maybe dream of...), so I can buy that black leather halter top at the store... I'm still considered 'new' by some SL standards (currently my AV is just over 2 weeks old).

So I was reading all these blogs on fashion within Second Life and I realized that they would once in awhile touch on Gothic, silk, lingerie, Neko, Fantasy, and other fashions from SL, but for the most part they left them out.... 3 posts about silks from more than 200 blog posts! I could fill three chapters about them... So it struck me... Why not do my own blog about those fashions getting light coverage...?

So here it is!

I'll talk about just about every type of fashion in SL...
